Accessibility Statement
Muy Delicioso, a DBA of Ktown Cloud LLC, is committed to making muydelicioso.app accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we work continuously to improve the experience for all visitors.
1. Our Commitment
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of abilities, including visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive disabilities.
2. What We've Done
- Built the site with semantic HTML so screen readers can navigate it properly
- Added ARIA labels and roles where the visual layout needs more context
- Maintained sufficient color contrast (WCAG AA) between text and backgrounds across the entire interface
- Ensured all interactive elements (buttons, links, forms, modals) are keyboard-navigable
- Provided clear focus indicators on every focusable element
- Respect the
prefers-reduced-motionsetting — animations are disabled for users who prefer reduced motion - Built the language picker as a fully keyboard- and screen-reader-accessible modal with ESC-to-close, focus trap, and ARIA listbox semantics
3. Known Limitations
Delicioso is in active development and accessibility is an ongoing investment. We are aware of the following limitations and are working to address them:
- Some imagery does not yet have descriptive alt text. As our content library grows, every photograph will receive a meaningful description.
- The greeting marquee in the header is decorative. It is hidden from screen readers via
aria-hidden, but we are exploring whether to expose the multilingual greetings in a more meaningful way. - Some animations (the hero gallery, the image cycler in the Discover LA section) are disabled under reduced-motion preferences but could still benefit from finer controls.
4. Your Feedback
If you encounter any accessibility barriers, or if you have suggestions for how we can improve, please email hello@muydelicioso.app with the subject "Accessibility Feedback". We aim to respond within five business days.
When reporting an issue, it helps if you can include:
- The page where you encountered the barrier
- The browser and assistive technology you were using
- A description of what happened (or didn't happen)
5. Compatibility
The site is designed to work with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and common assistive technologies including screen readers (VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS) and voice recognition software.
6. Updates to This Statement
This statement will be updated as we make accessibility improvements and as the site evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
